The opportunity

This role is responsible for managing the implementation of executive reward (compensation, benefits and performance) solutions according to the agreed timeline, process, and standards. The role involves coordinating compensation deployment cycles, working closely with colleagues in Region Talent teams, managing and maintaining relationships to enable execution, and resolving or escalating issues as they arise. Additionally, the role will gather feedback from regions to enable continuous improvement of executive compensation solutions and delivery methods

Your Key Responsibilities

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Understand and support the execution of the agreed Executive Compensation service strategy.
  • Design and administer reward programs for EY’s top executives in partnership with internal and external resources
  • Understand agreed executive compensation processes and standards necessary to ensure effective deployment.
  • Manage/coordinate the delivery of compensation cycles to ensure the effective deployment of the compensation solution. Work closely with Region Talent teams to ensure effective delivery at the local level and to resolve or escalate issues as they arise.
  • Manage and maintain strong connections with Region Talent teams (manage 1-2-1 discussions and/or Region networks).
  • Work with Region specialists to capture structured feedback on compensation cycle delivery. Capture, present, and discuss opportunities for continuous improvement with Performance & Reward colleagues in the Executive.
  • Work with Talent colleagues to monitor the effectiveness of executive reward design and delivery.
  • Propose new solutions or define changes/improvements to existing services and solutions as required.
  • Customize/develop executive compensation documentation provided by Reward colleagues to clearly communicate compensation processes and policies to Regions/Service Lines.
  • Understand and help communicate the link between compensation and the Global Career Framework.
  • Monitor external trends and best practices in Reward and Executive Compensation and propose ways to optimize the service or efficiency of service delivery.
  • Work flexibly as part of project teams/squads as a subject matter expert (SME). Provide technical insights and knowledge to ensure the effective design and implementation of new or improved Talent solutions.

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

  • Make decisions relating to the management and coordination of compensation cycle delivery (start, middle, and year-end).
  • Gather and analyze feedback and other data/information to monitor and assess service performance. Highlight opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze and leverage market and business insights to provide input to the development of the Performance & Reward service strategy and solutions

Supervision Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Talent colleagues (Global, Region, and HRS) to manage the deployment of compensation solutions, monitor performance, and ensure effective feedback to drive improvement.
  • Proactively participate in meetings to ensure effective execution of Talent function strategy and associated processes.
  • Conduct analysis or research to resolve issues and propose solutions to improve compensation performance.
  • Help establish, prepare, and optimize meetings and networks with global and Region Talent teams to communicate changes to strategy or solutions, share best practices, and capture needs across the firm.

Skills And Attributes For Success

  • Strong knowledge of Reward, executive compensation, and related processes.
  • Advanced data modelling, visualization and MS Powerpoint skills
  • Knowledge and interest in Talent strategy, trends, leading practices, services, and solutions.
  • Ability to participate effectively in virtual teams and networks across diverse and dispersed geographies.
  • Collaborate effectively across the talent ecosystem at Executive and Region levels.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly across the organization to ensure processes, ways of working, and standards are understood.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail - the ability to operate to a clear process/plan, within budget and effective time frames.
  • Analytical skills to track and interpret trending directions for specialism and identify potential future options.
  • Experience in a closely related Talent role bringing insights and experience of service design and delivery.
  • Demonstrable experience of collaborating with Talent or business colleagues across geographies to deploy an agreed Talent service and resolve issues effectively.
  • Strong experience of working effectively in globally dispersed teams to enhance services, frameworks, processes, and standards.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a central team to manage networks and share insights and best practices to help enhance service delivery and performance at a local level.
  • Demonstrable experience of working flexibly as part of a project team/squad to provide subject matter expertise and ensure the effective design and quality of service solutions.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in fast-paced, ambiguous, stressful environments to deliver required results.

What We Look For

  • Educated to degree level
  • Higher professional or master’s qualification in a related discipline is preferred, not required
  • Active membership in related professional bodies or industry groups is preferred, not required
  • Due to global nature of the role; travel and willingness to work alternative hours will be required
  • Due to global nature of the role; English language skills - excellent written and verbal communication will be required

Other geographies will follow their local salary guidelines, which may not be a direct conversion of published US salary ranges.   • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $136,700 to $263,200. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $164,100 to $299,100. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
  • Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
