Executive Recruiter to join our high-performing Executive Search team, helping us attract the visionary leaders who will drive our continued success. The location of the role is
flexible with hybrid working arrangements and could be located from our key hubs in London, Manchester or the Midlands.
What you'll be doing
Responsibilities
As a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, you’ll play a pivotal role in identifying, engaging, and securing top-tier leadership talent across Balfour Beatty’s Strategic Business Units. Your responsibilities will include:
- End-to-End Executive Hiring: Manage full-cycle recruitment for senior leadership roles, ensuring alignment with succession planning and strategic goals
- Strategic Talent Mapping: Conduct exploratory market mapping and talent profiling to identify future-fit leaders, especially for ExCom -3 and niche ExCom -4 roles
- Stakeholder Engagement: Lead detailed briefing sessions with hiring managers to define role requirements, target companies, and success profiles
- Candidate Relationship Management: Build and nurture a diverse, engaged pool of candidates, maintaining long-term relationships and keeping them informed of opportunities
- Market Intelligence: Provide consultative insights on compensation trends, talent availability, and employer branding using internal and external data
- Interviewing & Assessment: Conduct interviews, participate in business panels, perform reference checks, and support offer negotiations
- Industry Networking: Leverage networks across infrastructure and adjacent sectors to identify best-in-class talent and share insights with the business
- Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Partner with the Recruitment Delivery team to share talent pipelines and support junior hiring needs
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Use data analytics and talent intelligence to drive sourcing strategies, assess market trends, and inform hiring decisions.
Who we're looking for
- Proven experience in executive search gained from an in-house, executive research, or search firm environment
- Expertise in leadership assessment, market mapping, and candidate sourcing
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders
- Sector knowledge in engineering, construction, or infrastructure would be highly advantageous
- Intellectual curiosity and lateral thinker
- Commitment to finding best-in-class talent and providing a superb candidate experience.
