Aspirations Care, weโre looking for a
Senior Support Worker in
Wickford to help shape a positive, person-centred service for adults with moderate to severe learning disabilities. Occasional travel to
Colchester is required as part of the rota.
What Youโll Be Doing
- ๐งฉ Support individuals with daily living, social engagement & independence
- ๐ฅ Lead and mentor a team of support workers to deliver outstanding care
- ๐ Maintain accurate records and risk assessments (paper and electronic)
- ๐ Drive company vehicles (automatic) to support service user outings
- ๐ฌ Communicate effectively with families, professionals, and the wider team
- ๐ Foster a safe, caring, and empowering home environment
- ๐ Help shape a responsive, inclusive, and well-led service
- ๐ Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and person-centred practice at all times
What Weโre Looking For
- โ๏ธ At least 3 yearsโ experience in social care, including time as a Senior Support Worker
- ๐ Full UK driving licence - confident driving automatic vehicles
- ๐ Diploma in Health & Social Care Level 2 (minimum), and willing to work towards Level 3
- ๐ง Solid understanding of supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or mental health needs
- ๐ฅ๏ธ Competent with IT - Word, email, record keeping, and care systems
- ๐ก Strong leadership skills, flexibility, and a positive, proactive mindset
- ๐ก๏ธ Experience with safeguarding, risk assessment, team supervision, and promoting independence
