Job Title: Exposure Analyst
Division: Exposure Management, General Management
Reports To: As per Beazley’s organisation chart
Key Relationships: Exposure Management Team, Property Open Market Underwriters and Underwriter assistants, Other Staff
Job Summary: To provide support to the Open Market Underwriting teams, specifically data cleansing, importing, and geocoding for the quoting of risks and the capture and maintenance of exposure data for bound risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleanse scheduled location and exposure data, then import or enter into Moody’s RMS interface in accordance with team procedures
- Liaise with external service provider and update File Transfer Protocol (FTP) site with schedules that require cleansing & downloading cleansed schedules
- Obtain highest acceptable level of geocoding per risk using available tools & resources
- Supply the above information to Underwriters and Underwriting Assistants during quoting
- Quality control of risks entered in Moody’s RMS interface

- Liaise with Exposure Management team and respective underwriters.

- Comply with any specific responsibilities necessary for your role as outlined by your line manager, the Culture & People development or assurance teams (Compliance, Risk, Internal Audit) and ensure you keep up to date with developments in these areas. This may include, amongst others, Beazley’s underwriting control standards, Beazley’s claims control standards, other Beazley standards and customer relationship management
- Carry out additional responsibilities as individually notified, either through your objectives or through the learning management system
- Provide professional service in person, by email, telephone, video call, etc.
- Produce ad hoc reports for the underwriters and other members of staff when requested
Personal Specification
Education and Qualifications
- Educated to ‘A’ Level or equivalent
- Degree in any discipline
Skills And Abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong command of MS Excel 2016 or 365
- Other MS Office and general computer knowledge
- Able to communicate effectively with others, both verbal and written
- Able to self-start, manage own time and prioritise work
Knowledge and Experience
- 2 years Insurance experience, preferably Commercial property using Moody’s RMS software
