Extended Brief Intervention Worker who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs.

Allowance Outer London Weighting £2195.72 (paid pro rata)
- Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
About the role
- Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey
- Deliver specific interventions designed to reduce the harm caused by use of opiates via PODs or one to one working
- Ensure that service users receive a comprehensive, recovery-based detoxification service user plan; including support for preparation for detox and aftercare
- Work with other agencies and the community to build recovery capital for service users signposting to mutual aid and other networks
- Promote carer, service user and community involvement
- Provide advocacy for access to partnership services
- Work with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination
About you
- Experience of providing harm reduction advice in relation to alcohol disorders/abuse
- Knowledge and experience of MI and CBT and of utilising these in 1-2-1 and/or group settings with alcohol clients.
- Experience of completing assessments and being able to identify specific needs
- Knowledge of the issues experienced by people affected by alcohol abuse/disorders e.g stigma, poverty, discrimination
