About the company

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a leading luxury British client who has became renowned for extraordinary cars, innovative engineering and the highest quality craftsmanship.

Duties:

• Deliver automotive Lighting Functions and Associated Lighting Hardware to meet the requirements of the Project Description Brochure.
• Responsible for the specification, test, integration and validation to achieve the cost, weight, timing and quality targets for the project.
• Achieve engineering signoff lighting systems & functions within the project timing.
• Detailed knowledge of automotive lighting regulations and directives.
• Detailed knowledge of independent data interrogation CATIA V5.
• Detailed knowledge of product design using CATIA V5
• Detailed knowledge of Project management and Supplier management control.
• Experience and understanding of automotive Lighting systems.
• Understands plastic mould capabilities and applies this in designs.
• Understands vehicle electrical architecture, function and integration.
• Understanding of complex plastic injection moulding tooling.
• Understanding of FuSi requirements.
• Understanding of optical design and the distribution of light.

Skills & Experience:

• Ability to communicate at various levels across the company in different forums.
• Design and development skills.
• Ability to influence colleagues within your area of responsibility.
• Understanding of financial limits within area of responsibility.
• Skills required by local area.
• German language preferable.
• Full Driving Licence.
• Ability to travel worldwide and short notice
• Ability to solve problems
• Understanding of Health and Safety and capability to complete risk assessment in own area.
