Job Description: F&B procurement intern -(W/M/NB)- based in London
Position: Procurement Intern
Reports to: F&B Manager UK and Procurement Manager
Team: Member of the F&B UK team
Mission
To ensure the availability of all food, beverage and non-food products necessary to Big Mamma UK trattorias.
- Procurement
- Manage the central warehouse stocks: ensure 100% product availability (food, beverage, non-food – crockery, glassware, silverware) by placing orders in line with:
- supplier requirements
- restaurant needs
- consumption trends
- seasonal menu changes
- product expiration dates
- with minimal waste and breakage
- Maintain clear communication between restaurants, logistics providers, and suppliers to meet F&B procurement needs
- Support sourcing and negotiations with relevant data analysis
- Help ensure seasonality compliance: track product availability and price
- Maintain accurate data across F&B and Operations IT tools: manage and update the purchasing catalogue database
- Logistics
- Oversee all central supply orders and ensure delivery to restaurants
- Manage daily logistics and supply chain operations: resolve procurement/logistical issues
- Handle product import processes: liaise with agents, file declarations on government platforms, gather documentation
- Support supply chain improvements in line with B-CORP goals: contribute to environmental impact projects
- Menu management assistance
- Help ensure data accuracy in:
- Recipe database
- POS tools
- Menus and dietary information sheets
Profile Requirements
- Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship for internship roles)
- Fluent in English; Italian and/or French is a plus
- Bachelor’s or current Master’s student in:
- Business
- Economics
- F&B Management
- Engineering / Mathematics
- Strong organisational skills
- Passion for and understanding of food & beverage
- Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets
- Practical mindset with interest in operations
- Analytical thinking and financial understanding
- Excellent communication skills
Internship details
- Duration: 6–9 months
- Start Date: September 2025
- Type: Paid internship (£30.5K per year)
