Are you passionate about supporting families and making a positive impact in your community? West Berkshire Council is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Family Hub Assistant to join our Family Hubs team and contribute to the delivery of community based early intervention and support services for families at our West Berkshire Family Hubs.
The Role
As a Family Hub Assistant, you will work collaboratively with the Family Hub teams to provide a range of information, advice, and support services to families with children aged 0-19 (up to 25 for those with a special educational need or disability).
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Assisting in the delivery of family hub services, ensuring the needs of families are met
- Providing information and advice to families on a range of issues, including parenting, health, and education
- Supporting the organisation and delivery of activities, sessions and events for families
- Collaborating with external partners and agencies to ensure comprehensive support is provided
- Maintaining accurate records and data, including monitoring and evaluation of services
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with families and stakeholders
- Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- A proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving
- Team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues and external partners
- Understanding of the challenges faced by families and a commitment to supporting their needs
Please note this role is fixed term for one year from start date - Funding limited project
