Location: Bath - flexible hybrid

Salary: NQ £55k+ | up to 5PQE £70k DOE

OVERVIEW

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Family Solicitor to join a Tier 1 ranked Family law team within a highly respected regional Legal 500 firm, with a strong presence across the South West. The firm is recognised for its high-quality work, progressive outlook, and a flexible and inclusive working environment.

You will join a specialist Private Law Children and Domestic Abuse team, acting on a broad range of legally aided matters. Alongside casework, you will be encouraged to play an active role in marketing, networking, and business development initiatives, helping to raise your profile and support the department’s strategic objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage a caseload of legally aided Private Law Children and Domestic Abuse files.
• Deal directly with clients, taking clear instructions and managing expectations with sensitivity and professionalism.

ABOUT YOU

• Qualified Solicitor, ideally NQ-5 PQE+ (but all experienced candidates considered).
• Experience in Private Law Children and Domestic Abuse matters is essential, including legal aid casework.
• Wider experience across divorce, finances, and cohabitation disputes is desirable.
• Advocacy experience welcomed but not essential.
• Membership of Resolution or other relevant accreditation’s an advantage.
• Compassionate, client-focused, and confident in managing sensitive matters.
• Keen to contribute to team growth and departmental development.
