We’re looking for a proactive and customer-focused individual to join our Fees team in a varied and rewarding role that sits at the heart of the university’s financial operations. This role supports the accurate billing, invoicing, and maintenance of student records, ensuring compliance with funding regulations and university policy. You’ll be involved in everything from debt collection to student loan administration, liaising with internal and external stakeholders including Student Finance England, academic Colleges, and global partners. With a strong focus on customer service, you’ll provide advice and support to students on tuition fees, funding and debt, while also contributing to the university’s statutory returns and financial processes. About You:
We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrable experience in financial administration, with a particular focus on tuition fee management.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders within a complex organisation.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in producing clear, concise reports and professional correspondence.
- Confidence in independently analysing and resolving complex financial queries and issues.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with proficiency in financial systems and associated software tools.
The ideal candidate will hold or be working towards a relevant technical qualification (such as AAT or CICM) and bring experience of working with Student Loans Company (SLC) processes and finance systems within a higher education environment.
