Field Debt Leader

A leading energy services company is seeking an ambitious and dynamic leader to head their Field Debt Resolution operation across Scotland. This role will be home-based with frequent travel throughout Scotland, primarily focused on the Edinburgh and Glasgow areas.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will build and lead a high-performing internal field debt team responsible for visiting commercial customers onsite to prevent and resolve debt issues. The mission is to establish a credible and respectful field force that proactively helps customers avoid debt or resolve it quickly and sustainably. The role involves working closely with field operatives and internal debt management functions to deliver effective and compassionate debt solutions, including enforcement where necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and scaling of the internal Field Debt Resolution capability in Scotland.
• Train, mentor, and performance manage field operatives to achieve debt resolution and commercial targets.
• Foster strong relationships with diverse stakeholders to ensure effective and timely delivery of objectives.
• Drive continuous process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer outcomes.
• Provide expert coaching and support to the team while leading by example.
• Manage milestones and deliverables to meet strategic goals.

Candidate Profile:

• Proven leadership experience in field operations or a similar customer-facing environment.
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills with a commercial focus on productivity and customer outcomes.
• A proactive, positive, and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to inspire and lead change.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence and persuade.
• Calm and assertive under pressure, with a logical and creative approach to problem-solving.
