We’re growing our team of Field Service Engineers and are looking for driven, skilled professionals with a passion for engineering and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. If you’re bringing one core skill to us (Electrical, Mechanical or Instrumental) you’ll start on a salary of £38,462, but if you’ve got any of the above two disciplines, you’ll earn £44,320.
One core skill-don’t go anywhere…..we will support with the training. Our dedicated team of training professionals will provide you a tailored development plan to help you build your skillset and get you seen.
Key Accountabilites
- Delivering efficient and high-quality electrical/mechanical/instrumental maintenance and installation services that keep everything running smoothly.
- Diagnosing and fixing electrical and instrumentation faults to get systems back online quickly and safely.
- Carrying out planned and proactive maintenance that helps us stay ahead of the game-not just reacting when things go wrong.
- Following all Health & Safety regulations and company policies-safety first!
- To manage budgets effectively, making smart decisions that support cost control without cutting corners.
- Keeping accurate, reliable records on asset performance and repairs-your insights will help us continuously improve.
- Identifying recurring maintenance issues and coming up with practical, long-term solutions.
Technical Skills & Experience
We’re looking for skilled Electrical, Mechanical or a blend of both Field Service Engineers who are ready to hit the ground running. To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have:
- A time-served apprenticeship (or equivalent), supported by relevant academic qualifications-ideally a HNC, or an ONC in a technical discipline.
- A valid UK driving license-this role involves field-based work across various sites.
- Experience working with PLC, HMI and SCADA systems, including network diagnostics, disaster recovery and small system modifications.
- A strong desire to grow your skills-we’re big on development and will support you to gain additional flexi-skills qualification that enhance your role.
- The ability to work well independently and as part of a team-we value self-motivation, resilience and a positive, can-do mindset.
- Participate in out-of-hours standby rota is also part of the role-and we’ll make sure you’re fully supported when the time comes.
