Job Description

We are hiring a Service Delivery Engineer for a short-term engagement with one of our leading clients in the energy technology and industrial services sector. This role involves supporting chemical treatment systems in a dynamic process environment, ensuring reliable operations, safety compliance, and technical performance.

The successful candidate will have experience in field operations, chemical handling, and process optimisation, ideally within oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial settings.

Responsibilities

• Support the deployment, monitoring, and performance evaluation of chemical injection and treatment systems.
• Perform routine sampling and analysis of process fluids (e.g., water, oil) to assess treatment effectiveness.
• Monitor chemical consumption, adjust injection rates, and maintain inventory control.
• Investigate and resolve system issues through field-based troubleshooting and coordination with site personnel.
• Assist in preparing technical reports, performance logs, and recommendations for system improvements.
• Ensure compliance with site safety standards and participate in all relevant permit-to-work and operational protocols.

Requirements

• Technical qualification (Diploma, Degree, or equivalent experience) in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with chemical injection systems, sampling, and process support operations.
• Familiarity with field-based work in industrial settings such as refineries, terminals, or treatment plants.
• Strong awareness of HSE standards, and experience working within safety-critical environments.
• Basic understanding of chemical dosing, water treatment, and system optimisation.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook) for reporting and communication.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK and able to travel to the Southampton site as required.
