Altum Consulting is proud to be partnering with leading provider of housing, care and support services in London to find a Finance Analyst to support them during a period of significant growth. This role is critical in supporting the Senior FP&A Manager to deliver high-quality analysis across monthly results, forecasts, budgets, and long-range planning.
You will play a central role in interpreting financial performance, providing insights that support senior decision-making, and developing models that help shape the organisation's future direction. This position offers the opportunity to work within a complex, multi-service organisation and contribute to major upcoming deliverables including budgets, 5-year plans, stress-testing and board reporting.
Support the Senior FP&A Manager in analysing monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and insightful commentary.
Contribute to the preparation, challenge and review of budgets and forecasts, ensuring clarity and accuracy for senior stakeholders.
Assist in developing the organisation's long-range financial plan, providing modelling and analytical support.
Build and maintain financial models to support scenario planning, property acquisition analysis, and operational decision-making.
Produce clear, concise and meaningful financial insight that identifies trends, highlights risks and informs strategic decisions.
Understand the drivers behind performance variances and ask the right questions to support effective FP&A challenge.
Ensure models are accurate, well-structured and reconciled, with appropriate controls in place.
We're looking for someone who brings both technical strength and commercial thinking. You will thrive in a busy, multi-stakeholder environment and be comfortable working with incomplete information, tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA) with strong technical grounding.
Experience analysing large data sets and building financial models in complex or large-scale organisations.
Ability to link financial performance to underlying business drivers and produce clear, actionable insight.
Advanced Excel skills, including model-building and scenario analysis.
Working knowledge of SUN Systems and Infor Q&A (Excel add-in) - essential due to short contract time frame.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and how financial entries flow through P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
Excellent communication skills, able to influence discussions and challenge constructively.
Meticulous attention to detail, with high personal standards and accountability.
