Early Careers Apprenticeship Opportunity

Location: Based at our Head Office in Whyteleafe (CR3 0GG), just outside of Croydon.

Working Model: hybrid working - 2 days at head office and 3 days working from home, plus flexi core hours.

We have an early careers opportunity available in our Finance department as part of the Cash and Reconciliation team. This would be perfect for someone who is keen to kickstart their career in this field, studying and developing their skill and knowledge whilst gaining experience in a role.

The apprenticeship supplementing this role with help set you up for future success, building your financial and analytical acumen, and supporting the rotation in responsibility across the core elements that make up any finance function.

The role

Whilst you'd be joining the business in the Cash and Reconciliation team, during your time as a Finance Assistant at Ann Summers, you will have the opportunity to rotate around the various functions, and your role will adapt to reflect that. A snapshot of what to expect from these roles include:

• Accounts Payable: Process and verify invoices, reconcile supplier statements, and ensure timely payments to maintain good vendor relationships.
• Reconciliation: Assist with reconciling bank statements, accounts and other financial records to ensure accuracy.
• Data Management: Accurately input financial data into accounting software and maintain organized records.
• Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Budgeting and forecasting: Support with creating budgets and quarterly forecasts.
• Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making.
• Support: Provide support to the finance team and assist with ad-hoc tasks as needed.
• Professional Development: Work towards a professional qualification via the apprenticeship scheme with company support, enhancing your analytical and financial skills to develop your career.
