Finance Assistant

We are exclusively engaged in supporting a growing SME based in the heart of Milton Keynes who are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their high performing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic business in what is an exciting time of year on year growth.

As the Finance Assistant for the Milton Keynes business, you will play a vital role in supporting the finance team with various tasks and administrative duties.

You will:

• Assist with the preparation and processing of invoices, purchase orders and expense reports.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions, ensuring proper filing and documentation.
• Perform data entry and reconcile financial information.
• Assis in the preparation of financial reports.
• Maintain the accounts payable and receivable functions
• Complete bank reconciliations, petty cash management, and recording financial transactions.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and support their needs.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows.
• Adhere to financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance.
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and supporting management as required.
• Processing payroll and pension submissions.

You have:

• AAT or equivalent (or qualified by experience)
• Some prior work experience within a Finance Assistant role
• Strong Excel skills
• Working knowledge of finance administration tasks
