Finance Assistant
Location: Napier Offices, Keele University or Chichester (Hybrid)
Salary: £25,000 per annum (pro rata)
Hours: 20–25 hours per week, over 4 or 5 days (negotiable)
Start Date: Beginning of October 2025

The Role
We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our friendly team in Keele. This is a fantastic opportunity
for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and a good head for numbers.
This role would suit someone who is currently studying towards their AAT qualification, or who is keen to do so.
We will provide study support as part of your development.
What you’ll be doing:
- Processing purchase invoices, expenses, and staff credit card statements.
- Matching purchase invoices to purchase orders and ensuring accurate coding.
- Assisting with raising and processing client sales invoices.
- Entering sales and purchase invoices into Xero and the agency’s management system.
- Reconciling bank payments and receipts.
- Assisting Account Managers with setting up jobs, quotes, and purchase orders.
- Helping with media buying purchase orders and monthly client invoicing.
- Running reports and analysing financial data to support management decisions.
- Maintaining financial records and filing systems.
- Supporting ad-hoc finance tasks and office administration, including answering calls and greeting visitors.
What you’ll need:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar finance/accounts role.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Excellent organisation, planning, and communication skills.
- A proactive and confident approach to problem-solving and liaising with colleagues.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
