We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Finance Assistant in Cambridge, UK.
The Opportunity
Contract: 9 month fixed term contract (which may become permanent)
Hours: 25 hours per week
Salary: Competitive
You will be required to work on site, as part of a small and friendly team. The primary purpose of the role is to support the finance team in managing the day-to-day financial operations of the organisation and take responsibility for the efficient processing of purchase requisitions and orders. We are ideally looking for a candidate who can work across 5 days per week, but are open to considering other working patterns.
Main areas of responsibility include:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable invoices
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve queries with suppliers
- Process payment runs to suppliers
- Manage accounts receivable and credit control
- Process bank/cash book entries
- Process month end journals to support expenses, credit card processing and others as required
- Manage process for customer and vendor setup
- Process purchase requisitions and sales orders on the ERP system
- Ensure goods and services are receipted in a timely manner
- Provide cover as required for the Workplace & Facilities Co-ordinator

Technical Requirements
- GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
- Accounting Technician Certificate would be an advantage but not essential
