Location: Central London (Hybrid working)
Contract: Fixed-term / temporary (c.4–6 months)
Salary: £350-£425 Day Rate
A leading London-based university is seeking a Finance Business Partner to provide maternity cover within its central Finance team. This is a key role supporting Professional Services departments (Estates, HR,IT), acting as a trusted adviser on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on budgeting, forecasting, and monthly management reporting.
- Provide financial insight to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Produce accurate management accounts and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Train and support budget holders, promoting strong financial management.
- Contribute to business cases, programme proposals, and process improvements.
About You
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Experience in business-facing finance roles with strong analytical skills.
- Advanced Excel and good financial systems knowledge.
- Strong communicator, able to explain financial information to non-finance colleagues.
- Higher education or large, complex organisation experience desirable.
