Introduction
This role acts as a key interface between the Finance and Operational teams in how the Housing Revenue Account is managed and resourced, supporting the day to day financial delivery of the services.
There are a lot of changes that will affect the HRA in the short to medium term and this role will be critical in helping to understand, report and maintain financial control throughout this process.
What’s the role?
Playing a crucial role in providing accurate, timely and insightful financial information to operational teams in the management of the HRA budget.
Providing finance colleagues with the operational understanding of factors that drive expenditure.
Developing detailed monthly financial forecasts and assisting with the development of the annual budget.

What We’re Looking For
Accurate and timely financial reporting on relevant aspects of the Housing Revenue Account to senior finance and operational teams.
Ability to clearly describe financial factors to operational managers in non-financial language.
Ability to influence senior finance and operational management to achieve the most efficient management of the HRA. Provide variance analysis and influence on setting and reporting on key performance indicators (KPI’s) for responsible area.
Comfortable with advising on improvements to any aspect of the HRA (e.g. to improve efficiency, save costs or improve reporting clarity)
High level of expertise on MS systems – especially MS Excel.
Comfortable with change and adapting to new reporting requirements / structures as they are implemented.
Location
The job is a hybrid role, with attendance in Laurence House once a week.

Salary
£55,710 - £57,726 per annum (P06)
N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
