Permanent Contract

To build a fair education for all, we need to unlock the potential in all children – not just some. Together, we’re making it happen. Every day, our work takes us closer to a better future. But we need to do more. It’s a big challenge – and we need your help to take it on.

As Finance Business Partner (fixed-term contract), you will provide strategic analysis to support and challenge our stakeholders in making the right decisions for our growing organisation. We are a critical friend to the organisation, ensuring that we are maximising the impact of our income and expenditure for our social mission. You will understand and support the programmes we work with, adding value to decisions. The focus of this role will be budgeting, forecasting and management reporting as well as representing our team in organisation-wide projects and driving consistent improvement in processes to add value to Teach First.

There is also a fixed-term role available VN10259 Finance Business Partner. If you are interested, you must apply for both roles to be considered.

  • Are you a part-Qualified accountant (CIMA, CIPFA, ACCA or ACA), or are qualified by experience in business partnering roles?
  • Can you convey complex issues with clarity, brevity and confidence?
  • Can you promote dialogue with stakeholders through active listening and effective questioning and can adapt style to maximise support and engagement?
  • Can you maintain a broad and strategic perspective and an awareness of details?

Yes to the above? Then we want to hear from you. You might be our next Finance Business Partner!

Take a look at the job description and then complete an application on our careers website. Make sure you’ve got your CV ready to upload, along with a tailored cover letter that demonstrates how you meet our essential criteria. If you’re applying from an external job board, you’ll be redirected to our careers website. (Please note, we only accept applications through our careers website).

We expect interviews to take place from 10 and 11 April 2025.

This role attracts a Recruitment Premium of £2,490 (gross) per annum. As Recruitment Premium payments are not part of an employee's basic (or normal) pay they are independent from the Annual Salary Review and will not be taken into account, reviewed or uplifted during that process. Should labour market conditions change and market rates fall, or where an employee is promoted to a higher graded role or moves to a different role that does not warrant a Recruitment Premium then payment of the Recruitment Premium will be reviewed and it may be reduced or withdrawn. In the event that a Recruitment Premium is reduced or withdraw, the employee will be given six months' notice in writing before the change takes effect.
