Role: Senior Commercial Finance Business Partner

Salary: Circa £80,000 + benefits

Location: Northampton, hybrid working

The Accountancy and Finance Division at The ONE Group is exclusively partnering with a reputable business based in Northamptonshire. This is a senior Commercial Finance Business Partner role with full ownership of commercial finance across a major part of the business. Sitting above the day-to-day delivery, you will operate as a true strategic partner to the Commercial Director and wider leadership team, shaping commercial strategy, influencing outcomes and driving value from the outset. This role is suited to someone confident, credible and comfortable operating with autonomy from day one.

Key Responsibilities

Lead commercial finance partnering across the business, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership
Partner closely with the Commercial Director, influencing pricing, margin, investment and strategic decisions
Own the end to end commercial planning cycle, including budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning

Provide high impact insight and challenge through robust commercial analysis and modelling

Set the direction for pricing and cost models, ensuring commercial decisions are underpinned by strong financial logic

Lead financial input into major customer negotiations, new initiatives and growth opportunities

Identify commercial risks and opportunities, shaping actions to protect and grow profitability

Drive continuous improvement in commercial reporting, insight and decision support

Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience operating as a senior Commercial Finance Business Partner
Strong commercial acumen with the gravitas to influence at Director level
Ability to operate independently with full ownership and accountability
Track record of shaping commercial strategy rather than purely reporting performance
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or equivalent experience
Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex financial insight
Experience working closely with Commercial Directors or equivalent senior leaders
Background in complex, fast paced commercial environments
