What does a Finance Commercial Analyst do at Hogarth?
We are seeking a proactive, commercially driven, detail-oriented
Finance Commercial Analyst to join our fast-paced production company. This role will support strategic decision-making through insightful financial analysis, business partnering, and performance tracking across key clients.
The ideal candidate will bring a high level of a sharp eye for profitability drivers —working closely with cross-functional stakeholders.
What does a Finance Commercial Analyst do at Hogarth?
- Partner with production, sales, and operations teams to provide financial insights and analysis across client portfolios.
- Prepare and present financial data, including client profitability metrics and quarterly business review (QBR) packages.
- Conduct detailed profitability analysis for individual clients, highlighting areas to improve contribution margins.
- Take ownership of monthly revenue and utilization reporting for client heads, ensuring data accuracy and insightful commentary.
- Support the annual budgeting, reforecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Build and maintain robust, dynamic Excel-based financial models for forecasting, scenario analysis, and strategic decision-making.
- Analyze revenue streams to identify risks, opportunities, and margin improvement drivers.
- Support rate card analysis across clients and internal benchmarks Hogarth standards to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
- Assists update the RFP pricing model for global markets to support client pitches, tenders, and proposals with market-relevant, accurate data.
- Assist in the development and enhancement of internal reporting tools, dashboards, and automation initiatives.
- Support ad-hoc financial projects and strategic initiatives as required.
- Assist in revising and improving financial processes and documentation where needed.
Reporting lines and key stakeholders
This role reports to the Senior Commercial Finance Manager in London.
You will work closely with teams across Finance, Creative, Client services and Production across global network.
Requirements
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent commercial finance experience.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic, deadline-driven industry.
- Solid understanding of production cycles, budgeting, and cost reporting in a creative environment.
- Experience of Financial modelling and presenting data in dashboards, graphs etc.
- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel is essential. Hands-on knowledge of Power BI and Power Query will be beneficial.
- Familiarity with Maconomy is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; confident working cross-functionally and presenting to stakeholders.
