Finance Consultant - M&A

JSS are partnering with a rapidly expanding, market leading business that has significantly boosted its revenue through a series of strategic acquisitions. They are seeking an interim Finance Consultant with proven expertise in M&A transactions and the strategic divestment of business units.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Financial Aspects of M&A: Take charge of the financial workstreams for an upcoming acquisition, including due diligence, financial modelling, valuation support.
• Divestment Strategy & Execution: Provide expert financial guidance and hands on support for the strategic divestment of specific business units within the existing portfolio.
• Post Acquisition Integration/Divestment: Drive the financial integration of the acquired entity across various business units and the broader company portfolio, or manage the financial separation for divested units.
• Financial Analysis & Reporting: Develop robust financial models, conduct in depth analysis, and prepare comprehensive reports to support strategic decision making throughout the transaction lifecycle.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively with internal finance teams, senior management, legal counsel, and external advisors

Candidate Profile:

• Proven M&A Expertise: Demonstrable track record of successfully working on M&A transactions, including due diligence, valuation, financial modelling, and integration/divestment.
• Consultancy Background: Ideally a background in a Big Four consultancy practice.
• Self-Starter & Trusted Advisor: Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and be a trusted advisor to senior executives, capable of running with complex pieces of work.
• Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
• Immediately available or on short notice (4 weeks maximum)

Package:

• £800-1000 per day outside IR35
• Flexible/fully remote working options
