Finance Director | High-Growth, VC-Backed Tech

London (Hybrid) | £150,000 – £180,000 plus Equity

Are you an experienced finance leader ready to take full ownership of the finance function in a fast-scaling, investor-backed business? We’re looking for a commercially minded Finance Director to build a best-in-class finance operation, partner with investors, and drive post-acquisition integration in a dynamic buy-and-build environment.

Your Mission:

As the first in-house senior finance hire, you’ll work closely with the CEO and investors, shaping financial strategy while putting in place the scalable processes and controls needed for growth. You’ll lead on fundraising readiness, M&A activity, and help deliver EBITDA improvements across acquired businesses.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead financial planning, reporting, and investor updates across the group
• Own cash management, banking relationships, and covenant reporting
• Oversee audits, statutory compliance, and tax efficiency
• Drive automation across finance operations including AP, payroll, and procurement
• Maintain investor materials, and financial models ahead of Series B
• Partner on M&A due diligence, financing, and post-deal integration
• Deliver cost synergies and operational improvements across acquired businesses
• Build and lead a scalable finance team as the group grows internationally

Experience Required:

• ACA qualified with 8–10 years’ experience
• Proven track record in buy-and-build / post-acquisition integration (essential)
• Background in Big 4 or top-tier training, with strong technical expertise
• Exceptional modelling, analytical, and commercial skills
• Experience in fundraising, investor relations, and private equity-backed environments
• Hands-on, detail-oriented, but equally confident operating at board level
