Job responsibilities
As Finance Director, you will be a key player in the financial and strategic management of our region.
Responsibilities:
- Regional Steering Committee: Participate in defining and implementing the region's overall strategy with your financial expertise. Work closely with other members of the Steering Committee to ensure consistency in actions and decisions.
- Financial Management: Optimize Finance team tasks and processes, focusing on accounting, controlling, consolidation, financial closings, cash management, banking, and tax relations. Ensure the accuracy and reliability of all financial activities.
- Budget Process: Define and manage the annual budget process with regional stakeholders. Drive optimization, ensure compliance, and review throughout the year. Set all financial data related to the budget process (prices, etc.).
- Financial Analysis and Control: Analyze financial results (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual) and prepare detailed reports for management. Identify discrepancies and propose corrective actions. Proactively alert the management committee to financial challenges.
- Investment Management: Manage regional investments (CAPEX), ensuring optimal use of financial resources and project profitability. Monitor project progress in collaboration with central teams, ensuring respect for budgets and deadlines. Drive priority management in the short, medium, and long term.
- Retail projects : Drive financial performance with department heads daily as a business partner. Collaborate closely to guide decisions and development projects related to stores, activities, or products. Provide financial expertise with a "P&L" and "ROI per project" approach.
- Internal Audit: Instil a culture of internal audit, planning internal and external audits to ensure compliance of financial and operational processes. Identify potential risks and propose solutions. Present detailed audit reports with recommendations to the steering committee.
- Interactions with Central Financial Teams: Maintain strong interactions with EMEA and Corporate Finance, particularly on strategic subjects (overall activity, stock management, margin management). Ensure smooth communication to share relevant information and align financial and strategic objectives. Participate in the House's financial community to share best practices and deploy synergies.
- Business Monitoring: Analyze business trends to anticipate market developments and adjust financial strategies. Implement actions to ensure regional financial sustainability, identifying opportunities and risks.
- Facilities, Security, and IT: Manage the facilities team, overseeing real estate asset maintenance. Oversee investments related to infrastructure. Be responsible for safety and security policies, regulations, and programs. Manage the IT department, overseeing IT assets, policies, and practices.
- Management: Supervise and direct management control, accounting, facilities, and IT teams (a dozen team members). Create a motivating work environment by setting ambitious goals, evaluating performance, and implementing development plans.
Profile
You have a degree in finance, accounting and/or controlling management with a progressive experience of at least 15 years in various finance positions:
- A first successful experience as a Financial Director, ideally in the retail, FMCG or hospitality sector is welcome, your knowledge of the specific issues relating to financial, fiscal and banking relations between Europe and United Kingdom will be appreciated
- Mastery of financial tools and usual reporting systems
- Excellent project management and organizational skills: sense of anticipation and increased priority management
- Strong analytical and information synthesis skills
- You demonstrate pragmatic and caring leadership with assertive and courageous communication, you are a driving force for change
- You demonstrate a real appetite for interactions with multiple stakeholders to advance your cases
- Ability to evolve and adapt in a dynamic environment requiring agility and initiative
