Key job responsibilities
Amazon is seeking a Director, Finance to support AWS Data Center Infrastructure in our EMEA Region. The leader in this role will provide data-driven analysis, strategic decision support, financial planning, and controllership to the teams that plan, source, build, and operate our AWS data center infrastructure. The successful leader will work across the Finance organization and business teams to support investment analysis and drive various efficiency initiatives. The right candidate will have a passion for detail and the ability to dive deep into the foundational building blocks of the business while at the same time being able to step back and connect those building blocks to the overarching business strategy to drive results.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Mathematics, Economics, or related field.
- 10+ years' experience in Finance or Accounting.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA/MS/MA preferred.
- Proven track record of leading a geographically dispersed team.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver against high standards under tight deadlines and to be flexible in shifting priorities according to business needs.
- Proven process development, improvement, and project management ability that demonstrates organizational and problem-solving skills that lead to a successful conclusion.
- Independent and entrepreneurial, showing the ability to work with minimal direction in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to guide and influence senior leadership
- Passion for diving into the details of productivity metrics and cost measurement.
