Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Manager to oversee and manage key aspects of our financial operations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the accuracy of financial data, managing working capital, and supporting the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, be highly organized, and demonstrate a collaborative approach in working with both onshore and offshore teams.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Reconciliation

  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and submit finalized balance sheet to Group post GL closure.
  • Prepare and post monthly ROU asset journals and interest on EVCH loan journals.
  • Conduct monthly revaluation of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including quarterly revaluation of intercompany loans.
  • Ensure accurate matching of invoices and credit notes in collaboration with operations teams.

Working Capital & Treasury

  • Provide weekly working capital commentary focusing on debtor accounts.
  • Review and manage unallocated cash and perform daily payment approvals.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for Treasury, AR, and AP issues and inquiries.

AR / AP Management

  • Provide operational support to both onshore and offshore AP & AR teams.
  • Review offshore AR ledgers, escalating and supporting where needed.
  • Oversee credit control of 45 debtor accounts: preparing statements, following up on payments, and resolving disputes both internally and externally.
  • Approve and submit AR refunds as required.
  • Review and sign off on AR Departmental Procedure Manuals (DPMs).
  • Handle integration of finance processes within the wider team.

Compliance & Audit

  • Lead and support AP audits for previous years.
  • Coordinate and manage tasks related to residency certificates (future responsibility transition).
  • Ensure compliance with national statistical reporting requirements.

Team Support & Cross-Coverage

  • Provide cover for finance team members during periods of absence.
  • Assist with ad hoc finance tasks as required to support overall team efficiency and deadlines.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with AP/AR functions and reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working with offshore teams is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Required)
  • Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is highly desirable.
