Interim Finance Manager, Europe – Contractor - Day rate - £550-£600/day - ASAP Start - 5 months initially

The role

We are seeking a Finance Manager to join their European Accounting team in London. Reporting to the Finance Director, and managing a team of three, you will take ownership of US GAAP group reporting across seven European countries while supporting transformation initiatives and cashflow forecasting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process for the European region under US GAAP
• Manage and develop a team of three (one qualified and two part-qualified accountants)
• Drive finance transformation initiatives, including process improvements and automation
• Oversee preparation of 13-week cashflow forecasts and liaise with Treasury on funding requirements
• Provide technical accounting analysis and guidance on complex transactions
• Act as primary contact for external audits, ensuring timely deliverables
• Maintain and enhance internal controls across the European business
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (FP&A, Treasury, Capital Markets, Tax, and Operations)

Qualifications and experience

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent, with significant post-qualification experience (including at least 2 years at Manager level in industry)
• Strong technical accounting skills, with prior US GAAP experience preferred (IFRS essential)
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing a small team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with stakeholder management experience
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multinational environment
• Exposure to indirect or corporate tax within large multinationals desirable
