Are you a practice-trained accountant with a solid grounding in technical accounting, now looking to apply your skills in a more commercial role with front office exposure? A top-tier investment management business is looking to hire an experienced accountant in a broad role, where you'll support the financial operations and strategic growth of a diverse set of legal entities across the UK and wider EMEA region.

The Role:

You’ll be a key point of contact between the finance function and the front office, helping to shape decision-making by offering technical accounting insight. You’ll have ownership of oversight for a range of entities, playing a hands-on role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting business initiatives from a finance perspective.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the financial lead for a number of entities, ensuring accurate reporting and oversight of performance across both P&L and balance sheets.
• Supporting financial close processes, audit coordination, and regulatory reporting requirements, working closely with both local and offshore finance teams.
• Providing clear, actionable financial advice to commercial teams, bridging the gap between technical accounting standards and practical business needs.
• Contributing to the launch and integration of new business lines, ensuring operational and financial readiness from day one.
• Working cross-functionally with stakeholders in tax, treasury, legal and senior leadership to manage financial risk and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Preparing and presenting financial updates to executive teams and entity boards, with a focus on key trends, risks, and commercial implications.

Requirements:

Seeking a technically strong, commercially aware accountant who is ready to move beyond traditional finance and make an impact in a broader advisory and business-facing capacity.

You will have:

• A professional qualification (ACA or equivalent) with a background in audit or financial reporting.
• At least 3-5 years of post-qualified experience, ideally within a complex or regulated business environment.
• A sharp eye for detail and a structured approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
• A genuine interest in how finance can support business strategy and growth.
