Finance Manager

I am currently recruiting for a growing retail services business based in Northampton who are looking for a Finance Manager to join their high performing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly dynamic business in what is an exciting time of transformation.

In this role you will work directly with the entity Managing Director (with a dotted line to the Group Finance Director) to support a number of high value, high profile projects working with the operational teams to drive change, implement reporting processes and leading the day to day finance operations.

About the role:

In this role, you will report to the Entity Managing Director leading all day-to-day finance operations for your entity. This will include management accounting, reporting, budgeting and compliance. You'll also play a key role in developing processes, producing commercial analysis, and supporting the business with decision making.

You will:

• Prepare monthly management accounts
• Produce and post journals, including month-end accruals and prepayments
• Bank reconciliations and process invoices
• Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Review and maintain accounting systems and controls
• Monitor stock, review assets and liabilities
• Prepare reconciliations and support expense process
• Support with relevant commercial analysis to support decision-making
• Hold monthly reviews with the Managing Director of your entity
• Identify and implement process improvements

What we're looking for:

• Qualified or QBE (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
• Strong experience in a hands on accounting role (ideally with SME experience)
• Excellent Excel skills
• Experience used Xero software (preferred but not essential)
• Able to work independently and communicate at all levels

Please note, this role will be 5 days a week in the office in Northampton.
