Finance Manager

You will:

• Own month end, management accounts and reconciliations
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of the P&L and balance sheet
• Keep us compliant and audit‑ready at all times
• Lead budgeting and re-forecasting cycles
• Build models that explain performance and drive decisions
• Partner with budget owners to optimise cost centres, margins and ROI
• Manage VAT, Corporation Tax and statutory returns
• Coordinate with external accountants and advisers as needed
• Turn messy data into clarity - unit economics, pricing, promotions, paybacks
• Automate the boring stuff; champion better tools and smarter processes
• Own cashflow, liquidity and working capital
• Anticipate funding needs and manage FX exposure where relevant

Must‑haves

• Qualified Accountant (ACA or equivalent)
• Ideally recently qualified within accountancy practice
• Strong technical grounding, but even stronger commercial intuition
• Advanced Excel/Sheets skills; comfortable building robust, explainable models
• Clear communicator. You can tell the story behind the numbers and influence action
• Real ownership mindset: proactive, practical, outcomes focused

Nice to haves

• Experience in consumer products, FMCG or scale‑up environments
• Exposure to VAT complexities, inventory flows and multi‑channel sales
• Familiarity with ERP systems
