Finance Manager (German-speaking)

Financial Advisory | London | Hybrid (3 days in office)

A global professional services and advisory firm is seeking a German-speaking Finance Manager to join its Financial Advisory finance team in London. This role will primarily support the Germany business, with additional exposure to other European entities, and offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, international environment.

The Role

Reporting to a local Financial Controller, the Finance Manager will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely management reporting, overseeing core accounting processes, and acting as a trusted finance partner to senior stakeholders. The role involves close collaboration with senior leadership, international finance teams, and external advisors.

Key Responsibilities

Own month-end close and management reporting for the German entity and selected European subsidiaries
Manage revenue recognition, accruals, forecasting and intercompany reconciliations
Prepare and review P&L and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance

Oversee Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, payroll and VAT processes

Act as the primary point of contact with external accountants, tax advisors and banks

Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning

Lead and coordinate audit processes, ensuring timely and compliant delivery

Drive continuous improvement across finance systems, controls and processes

Requirements

Fluent German (written and spoken)
Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Strong understanding of German statutory and regulatory requirements
Experience in management accounting and financial reporting
Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international and stakeholder-facing environment

Desirable

Experience using NetSuite
Background in professional services, advisory or multi-entity environments
Track record of improving finance processes and controls
