About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Manager to join our team. The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, including accounting, banking, cash management, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role will work closely with leadership to provide strategic financial guidance and support the company's growth initiatives.

Quantum Base is a young, dynamic and rapidly growing business. The successful candidate will have a broad range of responsibilities and will need to be ready to roll their sleeves up to be successful. Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for all day-to-day finance matters in the business, including:

• Manage all aspects of financial operations, including bank, sales and purchase ledgers, payroll, accounting and financial reporting.
• Maintain policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial data.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders, including monthly management accounts.
• Monitor financial performance against budget.
• Manage cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity for business operations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.
• Preparation of interim and full-year financial statements.
• Collaborate with other departments to support business initiatives and projects.
• Manage relationships with banks, auditors, HMRC and other financial partners.

Key experience and qualifications

• A qualified accountant with at least 2 years’ PQE
• Strong understanding of financial controls, a/c standards, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis, with excellent spreadsheet skills.
• A self-starter with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.
• Hard working, organised with a proven track record of consistently hitting deadlines.

Nice to have experience

• Excellent powerpoint (or equivalent) skills
• Comfortable using AI tools
• Experience of working with QuickBooks
• Has previously worked in a listed company
