Transactional Finance Manager
📍 Emersons Green | 💼 £40,000 - £45,000 | 🕐 Full-time, Office-based
We're working with a growing business in Emersons Green that’s looking for a Transactional Finance Manager to lead their day-to-day finance operations. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong experience in accounts payable and receivable, and a passion for team leadership.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time
- Leading and supporting a small team of two finance assistants
- Overseeing bank reconciliations, payment runs, and purchase invoice processing
- Supporting payroll preparation and ensuring timely payments
- Managing scheduled payments including PAYE and corporation tax
- Assisting with month-end close, ledger reconciliations and reporting
- Keeping supplier and customer records up to date
- Supporting audits and helping improve finance processes
What we're looking for:
- Experience in a similar finance role, ideally within the construction industry
- Previous experience managing or supervising a finance team
- Confident using accounting software like Sage, Xero, SAP or similar
- Great attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and organisational abilities
- AAT qualified or working towards a relevant accounting qualification
Nice to have:
- Experience in a multi-entity or international finance environment
- Familiarity with Sage 50
