Finance Manager

Taylor Hopkinson is delighted to be supporting a leading offshore wind farm developer. We are recruiting a Finance Manager to support their growth and project development activities, and to steer all finance-related aspects of the company.

This is a full-time, permanent position and they are offering a hybrid working model (Edinburgh based).

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviewing corporate accounting and regulatory reporting prepared by accountants
• Preparing the budget and financial forecasts and report variances, and reporting to executives
• Ensuring that the organisation meets necessary tax requirements, validating the preparation of timely tax filing by external parties
• Validating production of yearly financial statements
• Delivering financial control activities, including reconciling financial records, reviewing/approving expenses, and generally maintaining the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting
• Working closely with the project management team to create effective processes and controls to ensure integrity of company ledger
• Preparing and presenting reports on company's financial information to Board of Directors

Candidate Requirements:

• 5+ year's experience in accounting and/or auditing
• Some experience in the offshore industry beneficial
• Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, procedures and tools (Excel necessary)
• Experience with financial statements, general ledger and month/year end processes
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage communications within a small team currently working in 'scale up' mode
• International experience beneficial
