We’re looking for an experienced
Finance Manager to join our
Fashion, Home & Beauty Commercial Finance team, supporting the
M&S Outlets business. This is a high-impact role where you’ll act as a strategic and commercial business partner, helping shape key decisions that drive profitable growth. You’ll combine financial expertise with commercial insight to influence both long-term strategy and day-to-day trading.
To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected.

What You’ll Do
Your key accountabilities will include:
- Own the P&L and deliver commercial performance: Partner with the leadership team to achieve sales, profit, stock, and cash targets; analyse key drivers of margin and profitability to maximise returns.
- Lead planning and forecasting cycles: Manage budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans, embedding critical initiatives and maintaining a robust risks and opportunities process throughout the year.
- Optimise stock and working capital: Improve gross profit return on stock investment and ensure stock holdings align with forward plans.
- Provide insight and drive data-led decisions: Deliver trend analysis, scenario modelling, and reporting on new initiatives, pricing, and promotions; collaborate with cross-functional teams to build KPI reporting and enhance commercial conversations.
- Improve processes and reporting: Reduce reliance on manual reporting, develop best-in-class tools with Digital & Data teams, and contribute to efficiency and accuracy across Commercial Finance.
Who You Are
Your skills and experience will include:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with proven experience in a commercial finance role.
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with a passion for driving insight and improving processes.
- Strong communicator who can influence and challenge senior stakeholders effectively.
- Commercially savvy with a good understanding of retail and market dynamics.
- Advanced Excel skills; PowerPoint knowledge is a plus.
