We are partnering with a gaming consultancy business seeking a hands on Finance Manager to join on full-time permanent basis. Given the business is in a growth phase, they need someone who is comfortable in handling the day-to-day transactional processing duties across their client portfolio as to provide insights into the management team. This role is critical to be business, and you will report to the CFO. This will be a largely remote position with occasional travel to the central London office for social events, therefore requiring a self-starter, happy to work from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day transactional processing, including accounts payable, receivable, expenses, bank accounts and payroll.
- Prepare and present monthly management reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Support with the Group’s budgeting, forecasting and scenario modelling.
- Collaborate with management to provide financial insights and support decision-making in a prompt manner.
- Monitor cash flow and manage working capital, both short-term and longer term, to the benefit of the business and report requirements to the management team.
- Preparation of concise and accurate royalty reports, which are easy-to-read for partners, circulated in accordance with agreed timescales.
- Update forecasts with stakeholders regularly so that there is clarity around the expected future performance of the business.
Qualifications and experience:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is desirable or demonstrable qualification by experience.
- Proven experience in a finance management role, preferably within the video games or entertainment industry.
- Proven experience in transactional processing, management reporting and ideally budgeting/forecasting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite / Google, particularly Excel/Sheets
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High levels of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
