Amazon is seeking a high performing Finance Manager to partner with the World-Wide Sustainability Operations team to define and deliver our carbon emissions reduction strategy.
As a Finance Manager in WW Operations Sustainability Investments, you will own investment analysis of big decarbonization projects and will partner across global business units to drive robust, consistent, and data driven investment decisions.
You will identify opportunities, lead projects, and ensure proper guidance and tools are in place to satisfy our sustainability investments requirements. As a key member of the team, you will directly influence business decisions including investments, pricing models, and long term strategy. This is an exciting role for a Finance Manager who has a passion for sustainability and innovation.
Key job responsibilities
- Leading financial analysis and due diligence for sustainability projects
- Presenting to and influencing senior leadership
- Business partnering with Operations teams to align on long term strategy and identify opportunity areas
- Developing and maintaining financial tools and guidance for sustainability investments
- Building analytical models and frameworks
- Researching and understanding new sustainable technologies/materials

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or a Bachelor's degree and experience in quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance)
- Experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field
- Experience in multiple finance and accounting roles
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
- Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan
- Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
