We’re seeking someone to join Finance Risk & Assurance (FinRia) team as a Vice President to focus on the Global co-ordination of the Finance RCSA working with the Firm’s Operational Risk Division (ORD) and Finance Risk Leads, to deliver a systematic view of the division’s operational risk and controls, enabling risk identification and remediation.

In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm’s financial and capital resources. This is a Vice President level position within the Risk, Assurance, Governance & Control job family which provides oversight and monitoring of operational risk or third party/outsourcing for the global Finance division, validation and testing of financial and regulatory reports and reinforcement of regulatory requirements, policies and procedures.

What You'll Do In The Role

  • Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
  • Responsible for and lead a significant set of deliverables, leveraging advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment
  • Proactively identify emerging risks in individual and department work and contribute to strategies for mitigating them
  • Act as a role model and culture carrier; Embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards
  • Oversee the global coordination of the Finance RCSA programme, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Collaborate with Finance Risk Leads to ensure risk profiles are accurately reflected in firm-wide tools.
  • Report to Senior Management on changes in the risk profile and planned remediation.
  • Conduct quarterly quality assurance reviews of RCSA submissions.
  • Co-ordinate the Finance Controls Working Group on enhancing the Finance controls population, including implementation of a quality assurance process for control information.

What You'll Bring To The Role

  • Advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment and technical skills, as well as of industry and competitive environment
  • Ability to provide positive and constructive - feedback and acknowledge efforts of team members
  • Ability to articulate risk and impact to various audiences, and create plans to mitigate those risks
  • Strong functional knowledge of operational risk, regulatory reporting awareness.
  • Institutional knowledge, preferably within the Financial Services sector
  • Organised and disciplined approach with ability to deliver in a high-paced environment and use multi-tasking to your advantage
  • Ability to communicate, collaborate and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders of varying seniority across Finance and other divisions
  • Critical thinking to challenge processes, solve for ad hoc queries and creativity to suggest alternative innovative approaches
  • At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
