Job Title: Finance Software Delivery Consultant
Job Summary:
The Finance Software Delivery Consultant will be responsible for managing and delivering financial software solutions to clients, ensuring that the systems meet the business requirements, integrates with existing systems, and adheres to best practices. The role requires a strong understanding of financial processes and proficiency in software implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting. The consultant will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery, training, and post-implementation support.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement:
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their financial processes and challenges.
- Provide expert advice on how the software can enhance their financial operations.
- Offer ongoing support, troubleshooting, and system optimisation after implementation.
- Conduct training sessions and help clients adopt and fully utilise the software.
Industry & Process Expertise:
- Configure and test financial software modules, including but not limited to General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, and Reporting.
- Ensure software integration with other systems such as ERP, CRM, and third-party applications.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless data migration and system integration.
- Stay updated on the latest financial software updates, features, and industry trends.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with project managers, developers, QA teams, and other consultants to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Coordinate with finance, accounting, and IT departments to ensure smooth implementation.
- Communicate effectively and challenge effectively both internal stakeholders and clients.
Post-Implementation Support:
- Provide ongoing client support post-launch, including system maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Help clients optimise the software for better performance and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field or Professional certifications such as Chartered Accountant (ACA), Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA), Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Experience:
- Proven experience (3+ years) in financial software implementation and delivery, ideally with systems such as SAP, Oracle Financials, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting processes, and industry-specific requirements.
- Prince 2 Project management experience is desirable, particularly in software delivery or finance transformation projects.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in financial software systems, including configuration, integration, and customisation.
- Experience with ERP systems, accounting software, and financial data structures.
- Familiarity with SQL, APIs, and other tools for data migration and integration.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
