Finance Systems Administrator
12 month Fixed Term Contract
£36,000 - £38,000 per annum
Swindon (hybrid)
SystemsAccountants are currently working with an organisation to assist in their search for a Finance Systems Administrator/Accountant to join their team. This role will focus on maintaining and developing the organisation's financial systems, developing reports, and providing support to end-users as part of a shared service. This role will be reporting to the Financial Systems Manager and joining a team of two Systems Accountants.
Role Responsibilities
- Providing support and maintaining the group financial systems - particularly Integra Centro and ExpenseMe Pro
- To lead on financial systems reporting strategy, including creating, maintaining and enhancing reports (using Crystal Reports and XQuery), as well as the Excel based management information system and other management reporting tools.
- To interrogate and manipulate the database (MS SQL) to resolve support issues.
- To create and maintain systems support documentation.
- To coordinate disaster recovery tests.
- To Identify and promote system-based process improvements.
- To participate in financial systems development and related IT projects.
- Work with software suppliers to implement new releases, resolving software issues and identifying areas for improvement.
- Act as a contact for the provision of relevant data and analysis to internal and external parties on an ad-hoc basis, such as during audits.
Role Requirements
- Experience of working with and supporting financial systems
- Experience of financial or performance reporting
- Proficiency in SQL
- Experience in Crystal Reports preferred
- Experience of writing user guides or process notes
- Sound numeracy with the ability to prepare, analyse and manage methodically large amounts of data
- Intermediate-level Microsoft Office user
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good term player with a flexible and adaptable approach to changing environments
- Candidates can be from either a finance super-user background, or from a core IT support background.
