Finance Systems Analyst

The Finance Systems Team at DWF are currently looking for 2x Finance Systems Analysts to join the team to support both Finance and the wider business with accurate and reliable information, and systems and processes.

You will work closely with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement, shaping the definition, configuration and implementation of solutions, to satisfy business requirements and support our Digital Transformation project.

You will collaborate with our development team to design, build, test, and deploy innovative technology solutions to support our business operations. Your expertise in transactional legal finance processes, 3E and client accounts will be critical to your success in this role.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has worked in a legal transactional role, who has back-end 3E experience and is interested in a new challenge.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract based on a hybrid working model, with two days per week required in our Manchester office.

Responsibilities

• Support our Digital Transformation project, to deliver multiple projects and the implementation of new applications across Finance Operations
• SME and second line support for transactional finance queries
• Provide support to the Finance Systems Manager, Operational Finance, and Digital Transformation teams, in the delivery of ad-hoc requests and project work on systems developments, enhancements, configuration, and upgrades
• Working with colleagues, supplier support teams and external consultants to agree on business requirements for changes, new features and products
• Exploring and evaluating new features and functionality, developing new processes and workflows, along with the production of all relevant documentation, and reconciling information between applications
• Completing change specifications and monitoring the delivery and timely completion of changes
• Perform, oversee and assist with user acceptance testing, including the development of test plans to cover all application functionality
• Writing SQL scripts for bespoke reporting
• Maintaining existing processes - including fixing bugs in code, user setups, etc.

What will help you succeed in this role?

Essential

• Demonstrable knowledge and experience of accounting systems gained within the legal sector
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Excellent attention to detail, with strong analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Advanced understanding of TR / Elite 3E Practice Management System - including the front-end application processes and the back-end data tables
• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and related products (SSRS, SSIS and SSAS)
• Working knowledge of SRA regulations
• Previous experience within an accounting or transactional finance background

Desirable

• Previous use of DevOps software is desirable
• Experience within Billing or Cashiering
• An understanding of the principles of project management
