Papworth Trust are looking for people who can commit to spending around a day or two over the course of a month helping with the governance, strategy, direction, monitoring performance and risk. The trustee board meets four times a year, has four sub-committees, an annual strategy day in October, and meetings are held in person or online.
They are looking for people who have lived experience of disability and a passion for the mission of the Papworth Trust. Those applying must be driven by a desire to help the charity support disabled people to have equality, choice and independence.
The key areas they are looking for skills and experience in include those with Accountancy and Finance Experience for this Finance Trustee position to support the Treasurer. They would though be keen to consider anyone who feels they can contribute their life experience and those from hard to reach background as having a range of diverse voices on the trustee board is key for the Papworth Trust.
This is a voluntary role. The Chair, Vice Chair and trustees receive no remuneration. Reasonable expenses can be claimed, in line with the Charity’s expenses policy, for attendance at Board and Committee meetings and other events necessary for the fulfilment of the Trustees’ duties.
