ISS UK Ltd is seeking a talented Financial Accountant to join our UK & Ireland Controlling function — a team built on accuracy, assurance, and high standards in financial reporting.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you’ll ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data across key customer contracts, supporting balance sheet control, income statement analysis, and end-to-end month-end processes.

You’ll help refine finance operations, implement control improvements, and support ongoing cost efficiency initiatives — all while adding strategic value to account leadership and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and complete Controls Self-Assessments
• Perform accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations to UK&I standards
• Support external and internal audits, including Financial Controls & Assurance reviews
• Complete month-end close activities, including accruals and prepayments
• Assist with managing overdue receivables and trade working capital
• Investigate and explain financial forecast variances

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or equivalent experience
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and relationship management abilities
• High attention to detail and a proactive, improvement-focused mindset
• Organised, efficient, and able to manage competing priorities
• Ability to challenge existing processes and contribute new ideas
