Financial Accountant

This is a dynamic opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a collaborative finance team within a growing international insurance group. The role offers exposure to multi-jurisdictional financial and regulatory reporting and is ideal for someone looking to deepen their expertise in the insurance sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting

• Posting transactions and journals to ledgers
• Reconciling bank and investment accounts
• Assisting in quarterly management reporting
• Supporting the preparation of annual financial statements under IFRS, UK GAAP, and US GAAP
• Liaising with auditors, actuaries, and external partners
• Contributing to budgeting and cash flow forecasting

Regulatory Reporting

• Calculating regulatory balances from statutory accounts
• Preparing and submitting quarterly and annual regulatory returns
• Coordinating with auditors and other stakeholders

Finance Operations

• Managing banking administration
• Ensuring financial controls are properly implemented
• Supporting process improvements within Finance
• Meeting internal and external reporting deadlines

Candidate Profile:

Qualifications & Experience

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a finance role within professional services
• Strong understanding of financial accounting and reporting
• Experience in or exposure to the insurance sector
