Are you a newly or recently qualified ACA/ACCA looking for your first move out of practice? Our client, a fast-growing software business, is seeking someone who can start within 1 month or less to join their dynamic and sociable team as a Financial Accountant.

The Opportunity

This is an ideal role for a first-time mover from practice wanting to broaden their experience within an innovative, commercially focused software environment. You will gain exposure to a variety of financial and management accounting responsibilities while working closely with senior stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing:

• Month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities including journals, reconciliations, and accruals
• Preparation of VAT returns and income tax calculations
• Capitalisation calculations for internally developed assets under IAS 38
• Supporting statutory reporting and liaising with external auditors
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and financial regulations
• Collaborating with wider business teams and supporting on ad-hoc analysis or projects

About you:

• ACA or ACCA qualified (newly or recently qualified)
• Strong technical grounding with audit/accounting background in practice
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, detail-focused approach
• Able to start within 1 month or on shorter notice

• Based in Central London (4 days per week in the office)
