The purpose of this role is to work closely with the Financial Accounting Manager to ensure that the monthly management accounts and statutory financial statements are prepared on time and in line with company operating procedures.
Responsibilities
- Complete monthly trial balance reconciliation
- .Regular monthly and year-end reporting with sponsor department (DBT)
- .Manage lease reporting requirements, including reconciliations, accruals, forecasting
- .Complete month-end and year-end journals for accruals, prepayments and adjustments, as well as relevant balance sheet reconciliations
- .Transactional review of monthly costs to ensure they are coded correctly
- .Manage fixed asset register including depreciation journals, additions, disposals and reconciliations
- .Responsible for preparing quarterly VAT submission
- .Assist with the preparation of financial statements under IFRS
- .Assist with external audit requests, ensuring queries are answered in a timely manner
- .Assist with the preparation of the year-end timetable whilst ensuring deliverables are met by the deadlines
- .As a senior staff member in finance, support junior finance members when required and consistently role model company values

- s Hold a recognised accountancy qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA
