Finance Assistant

We’re looking for an organised and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our growing team at DCS Recruitment, based in the heart of Manchester City Centre.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid finance experience who’s looking to take the next step in their career within a fast-paced, supportive, and ambitious business environment. You’ll work closely with our Finance Director and Management Accountants, contributing to the accurate processing of company accounts and supporting the wider finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation and management of company accounts
• Post sales and purchase transactions accurately and efficiently
• Process prepayments and accruals
• Conduct profit and loss (P&L) analysis and provide relevant reporting
• Provide absence cover for credit control and purchase ledger duties
• Support Sage administration and general finance system maintenance
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth financial operations
Key Skills & Experience:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an accounting or finance environment
• Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 (or similar accounting software)
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Confident communicator, both written and verbal
• Team player with a proactive approach and willingness to learn and develop
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with a commitment to accuracy
