As part of ongoing growth, they are expanding into long-term leasing, including business contract hire and salary sacrifice schemes. To support this development, they are looking for a motivated Pricing Finance Assistant to join the team and help manage pricing data to ensure our leasing offers remain competitive and accurate.
Main Purpose of Role
The Pricing Finance Assistant will be responsible for updating and maintaining pricing data in the Key2 system, with a focus on vehicle costs, residual values, maintenance budgets, and discounts. This role is suited to someone with a keen eye for detail and a strong interest in the vehicle leasing industry.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Data Entry: Accurately input and update pricing data in the Key2 system, including vehicle costs, residual values, maintenance budgets, and discount structures.
- System Maintenance: Ensure pricing data is current, based on information from suppliers, finance, or management.
- Data Verification: Validate entries to ensure accuracy, flagging discrepancies for review.
- Sales Support: Assist the sales team in preparing lease quotations and customer rate books.
- Purchasing Support: Help with entering client discounts and progressing vehicle orders.
- Market Monitoring: Collect and summarise market data, such as competitor pricing and vehicle trends, to support pricing decisions.
- Reporting: Generate system reports on pricing updates and performance as required.
- Team Collaboration: Work with sales, finance, and operations teams to ensure pricing aligns with business and customer needs.
- Compliance: Follow internal guidelines to ensure all data complies with company policy and partner requirements.
- Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, data handling)
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational skills and efficiency in handling routine tasks
- Effective written and verbal communication for internal coordination
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the leasing sector
- Prior experience in product pricing (not limited to the vehicle sector)
- Interest in vehicles and/or finance
Desirable:
- Experience with database systems (e.g., Key2 or similar platforms)
- Understanding of vehicle leasing in the UK (e.g., costs, residuals)
- Background in a top 50 UK leasing company
- Familiarity with contract hire or salary sacrifice schemes
